TAMARA - founder & creative director

I grew up between two conversations.
My mom would ask, “How does it make you feel?”
My dad would ask, “Where will the walls go?”

For a long time, I thought they were separate questions.
Now I know the best spaces answer both.

I learned this in pieces. At Sotheby’s, where I saw how an object could hold an entire memory. At OBMI, where I watched spaces rise from the ground up. And in between those worlds, I traveled — discovering how a place isn’t only built of walls or furniture, but of moods. The hush inside a temple. The way a table makes strangers lean closer. The way light, when it finally floods a room, can shift everything.

I’ve always believed spaces are stories. Just like a book can hold you, or a movie can transport you, a room can change how you feel. Sometimes it’s the smallest detail — a chair angled toward the window, a pile of books by the bed, a song playing quietly in the background — that carries the whole narrative.

curating something grew out of this belief. People come to me when something feels unfinished, when they sense a missing layer they can’t quite name. My work is to find it — to curate the details, the presence, the atmosphere that makes a space feel like it’s on your side.

At the heart of it, this is what I care about:
that you feel comfortable in your space,
that you feel connected to the life you’re living,
that you feel a little more like yourself.

That’s what curating something is here for.

JENNIFER - co-founder & managing director

I co-founded curating something with Tamara  because, after 20+ years in architecture and design, I realized that the spaces that truly moved me weren’t just well-designed—they were emotionally aligned.

Throughout my career—from leading global hospitality projects at firms like OBMI and Stantec to managing high-stakes developments—I became fluent in structure, scale, and detail. But I always sensed there was something deeper a space could offer.

A feeling.

A shift.

An exhale.

A connection to our divine self.

That quiet, almost invisible transformation is what curating something is all about.

Rooted in intuition, texture, and atmosphere, our studio brings emotional clarity to spaces craving a fresh start, a connection to something greater. We zhuzh, we soften, we realign. One thoughtful layer at a time.

As a student of BioGeometry®, I weave principles of subtle energy harmonization into my work—bringing not just beauty, but balance to the spaces we create. It’s a layer you can’t always see, but you can absolutely feel.

This work is where my technical foundation meets soulful intention.
Where space becomes sanctuary.
Where design becomes emotion, embodied.
