palo santo plates
Brit, the artist behind these plates, grew up on Kiawah Island, South Carolina, where she would gather shells from the beach just below her home. That practice of collecting — of listening to what the tide offered — shaped the way she sees and makes. Today, her work carries both those memories and the textures of shells gathered from California shores, extending her ritual across coasts. Each plate is hand-formed in stoneware, created to cradle Palo Santo and to hold a moment of pause. We chose them because they carry a shoreline quality — imperfect, grounding, and shaped by both hand and place. Each one carries its own tide, its own quiet story.
